3D: Queen of the Rocketmen
And here's the main reason of the blog hiatus: CGSociety's Hardcore Modelling Challenge #21 "Queen of the Rocketmen"
From the challenge description:
Despite being fairly new to Maya, I decided to enter the challenge since it's a theme I really like.
And so I started working on a model collection for the challenge and entitled my entry "The Pirate airfleet".
The finished collection includes 4 models, an Airship Carrier, a 3m tall Robot Trooper, a giant Transport Seaplane and a Combat Autogyro.
I't been a great learning experience both modelling my entry, and watch the evolution of the other participants entries.

Imagine you have been comissioned to do video games based on the aviation world of the 1930
A world of danger advanture, air pirates,zepellins and crazy air machines... (similar to the Indiana Jonesuniverse, but where Jet packs, giant air machines and robot hechmen area reality)
Join us as the Queen of the Rocketmen and her band of merry men fight the evil air pirates in the air above the South Pacific.
